For many college students seeking accommodation, the thought of a grand high-quality facility is not always part of the plan. Instead, most expect compact rooms with not enough space, poor lighting, and other issues. Finding just the right accommodation can be a pain but there are a few colleges that are doing a better job at offering students the best amenities in the dorms. Scripps College tops our list of schools with the best dorms. The college has 7 residence halls and each of the dorms has a total number of between 70 and 120 students. The dorms feature Mediterranean style buildings and are set on a beautiful southern California campus. There is a browsing room in one of the halls carved in wood panels that have been here since 1915. The lawns are well kept and the rooms are pretty spacious.

South Forty Community

The South Forty Community is also a noteworthy mention. It’s a collection of luxurious accommodation facilities that are conveniently located in a small town style environment. The facility has 23 residence halls all of which come fitted with TempurPedic mattresses. There is also a laundry service that picks dirty laundry and cleans it before delivering it right back to you. The facility offers close proximity to a food market as well as a bakery and a kosher kitchen.

Fulton Schools Community

The Fulton Schools residential community is the newest accommodation facility at the Arizona State University and once it opens this fall, it will come with 1,600 Amazon Echo dots all donated by the online retailer. The house is for the engineering students who will be joining the college for the first time and will also come equipped with eSpace classrooms, a feature that allows students to immediately enroll in an introductory engineering course at the comfort of their rooms.

Simmons Hall at MIT has so far been nicknamed “The Sponge” and this is because of the unique architectural design. The futuristic exterior is just one of the many perks that come with living there. Students get to enjoy a two-story theater for movies, an additional wood shop and also a craft room for those who feel artistically inspired. There’s also a dining hall within the building and laundry amenities within the same hall. What sets the facility apart is the massive ball pit where students can relieve the day’s stress by playing around and enjoying the moment.

Pomona College’s Oldenborg Center has to be one of the most amazing and unique places for a student to stay. The buildings and the halls have been designed in different styles and the aim is to immerse you into a foreign culture without stepping outside the country. The dorm is open to 115 students only and it features 6 language sections where the occupants can learn cultures and languages of these countries. They include Chinese, German, Japanese, Russian, French, and Spanish.
