The 61st Annual Grammy Awards will take place soon and music lovers can’t afford to miss the event!

It’s a celebration of music and the people who made it more enjoyable for everybody this year. Nominations for the latest event went public. There are 84 categories at the moment and even though we will not be able to give you the nominees for all of them, we have picked the highlights for you.

The broadcast will air live on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. ET/PT.

The show has been traditionally held in Los Angeles but last year it took place in New York. This time around though it’s going back to the Golden State.

Well, let’s get to the nominees:

First, the Record of the Year, one of the most important categories:

  • "The Joke" by Brandi Carlile
  • "This Is America" by Childish Gambino
  • "God's Plan" by Drake
